13 Animated Visual Essays for Public Citizen

In a 10 week project, students at FIDM in Los Angeles took scripts written by Public Citizen, a consumer advocacy nonprofit organization in Washinton and created 13 student films. The films are about issues such as Wall Street practices, alternative energy, and pharmaceutical drugs.

Students used After Effects to animate graphics, kinetic typography, illustration, photography, and videos, all with voiceover, expanding their knowledge of important issues with an end result that will hopefully encourage other young people to take action, maybe even make their own films.
