Job Description
Responsibilities include:
• Taking pre-designed layouts from the design team and implementing them in xhtml.
• Developing back-end work which can consist of:
- e-commerce and payment gateway integration
- cms (content management system)
- javascript coding
- database development
Qualified candidate must:
• Work fast under tight deadlines
• Have a strong knowledge of web 2.0
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Self-Motivated
• Know how to complete tasks efficiently and thoroughly
• Get things done right the first time
• Have a good sense of web design and style
• Preferable Computer Science degree
• Phenomenal debugging principles and perseverance
• Experience in building e-commerce websites
• Ability to multi-task
• Detail-oriented
Must be proficient in:
• XHTML
• CSS working with DIVs
• Javascript
• PHP
• Dreamweaver
• Photoshop
• OSCommerce or ZenCart
• Joomla
Knowledge of such areas would be a plus:
• Flash
• Ajax
• .ASP
• Actionscript
• Illustrator
Company Profile
The Lab is a boutique multi-disciplinary design and development studio that has won multiple awards including the coveted Emmy award. Services offered include web design, web development, cms, e-commerce, and print graphic design. We have a fun range of clients including some very large names such as House of Blues foundation, LA18, Los Angeles Unified School District, and many other large clients that have high visibility.
The Lab currently has a part-time or full-time entry position. However, we will need you to become the Project Manager in the future as a full-time salaried employee.
