Job Description

Art Services Video Associate

The Art Services Video Associate provides support services to all engaged departments: PR, Marketing, Production and development studios to produce high-quality in-house video assets. Typical end use for assets will include B-roll, ESRB submissions, attract loops, trailers for internal and external use, and more as needed.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

Video Production/Editing
- Serve as lead on all in-house video production, including gameplay footage capture, editing and archiving. This position’s responsibilities do not extend to outsourced video production, which includes most consumer-facing projects.
- Digitize gameplay footage from capture sessions with appropriate labels and formatting, in the appropriate formats
- Oversee multiple projects, managing timelines and communicating with engaged parties (customers) to ensure that their content guidelines and deadlines are met.
- Maintain video hardware and software to optimal settings and ensure availability of equipment necessary to meet department work load.
- Provide guidance to team members assisting with the video capture effort, including production teams

Digital Asset Management
- Serve as adviser to the digital asset management system task force, as far as video assets are concerned
- Understand the distribution of assets and provide guidance on best ways to provide them to internal and external parties, both domestic and international

Other
- Assist with still screen capture and other department tasks, as needed
- Work closely with Production and play assigned game titles extensively and thoroughly in order to know where and how to capture the best footage
- Continually assess current business practices to increase quality and efficiency
- Provide recommendations to studio central on debug tools to include in game builds in order to improve our processes for getting high-quality video capture

Position Qualifications:

- Must be even-tempered and able to interact well, under pressure, with multiple teams on multiple projects with tight deadlines
- Individual must be extremely detail oriented, accurate and must work well independently
- Candidate must be able to successfully prioritize multiple projects
- Individual must be able to apply knowledge, experience, and learnings to real situations to help solve problems
- 4-year college degree and game industry experience required
- Working knowledge of Final Cut Pro Studio and all of its components (LiveType, Compressor, etc).
- Ability to capture, edit, and export footage from a variety of standard and high definition sources, as well as from hand-held gaming devices.
- Ability to deliver quality and creativity (with and without direction) within the context of a variety of game genres. A demo reel demonstrating previous work is preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of Photoshop CS is preferred
