Job Description
The UI Artist will be responsible for working within an existing UI Group to design and implement the game's user interface.
A solid design background and a confidence in both Flash and Photoshop are required. All candidates must submit a link to their portfolio and/or demo reel along with their resume.
Qualifications:
- A portfolio demonstrating outstanding Design, illustration, and layout skills.
- Advanced working knowledge of the following software applications:
Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash Demonstrated ability to work self-directed when necessary.
- Demonstrated ability in providing art critiques, both visual and verbal
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and visual
- Formal art education, BFA from an accredited art/design school preferred
Responsible for:
- Designing and implementing the User Interface components:
- Front End menus and screens
- In-game HUD (heads up display) elements
- Problem solving and bug fixing for both technical and design issues related to User Interface Design.
Pluses:
- Strong interest in games
- Strong traditional drawing and painting skills
