Job Description
Dynamic automotive company seeks Graphic (Print) Designer.

Candidate Must Have:
A portfolio that demonstrates a highly attuned eye for typography and color.
Work that spans a range of industries, media and audiences.
1-3 years experience working in a design agency or other creative organization (recent graduates with internship experience are welcome to apply).
Strong communication and organization skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to proof one's own work effectively.
Mastery of Adobe's Creative Suite and QuarkXpress.

Responsibilities:
Jumpstart design concepts
Develop design concepts through to production
Efficient designer who can work well within tight turn around times
Flexibility in juggling multiple design projects simultaneously while maintaining a close eye on detail and quality
Strong production skills background required

Preferred Abilities:
Direct mail experience
Photography skills
Complex book design

Company Profile
Galpin Motors has been family owned an operated for over 60 years and although it is a company with over 1200 employees, it still feels like a small family especially here in its Advertising Department. Galpin has nine automotive dealerships as well as the after market store, Galpin Auto Sports (home of Pimp My Ride). Print projects include: Galpin’s famous calendar, collateral for the LA AUTO Show as well as various other auto shows throughout the year, newspaper, magazine and charity ads, brochures, businesses cards, flyers, banners and too much more to explain here!
