Job Description
The UI Artist will be responsible for working closely with the lead designer and art director to design implement the game’s user interface. Skills required are as follows: solid design background experience with modeling and texture painting, uv mapping and animation skills a plus. Experience in Maya, Flash and Photoshop or equivalent packages creating user interfaces with game engine technologies.

Qualifications:
• A portfolio demonstrating outstanding Design, illustration, and layout skills.
• Advanced working knowledge of the following software applications:
Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, After Effects, and Maya
• Demonstrated ability to work self-directed when necessary.
• Strong traditional drawing and painting skills
• Demonstrated ability in providing art critiques, both visual and verbal
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and visual
• Must have shipped a minimum of 3 video game titles Playstation 2,PC, Xbox Game cube
• Formal art education, BFA from an accredited art/design school preferred

Responsible for:
• Designing and implementing the User Interface components:
• Front End menus and screens
• In-game HUD (heads up display) elements
• Full motion video integration
• Problem solving and bug fixing for both technical and design issues related to User Interface Design.
• Works efficiently within the established art pipeline.

Pluses:
• Proven track record shipping games
• Strong interest in games
