Location
Santa Monica, CA

Job Description
We are the fast-paced and fun-loving Creative Agency here at TOMS. Our sole purpose (pun intended) is to spread the TOMS message to the world through unique and engaging creative projects. Working here, a lot will be expected of you - originality, creativity, consistency - but it’s all for a great cause, and you will certainly learn a lot. Our interns have a very hands-on role in the day-to-day operations of our company, and they get to bring a lot of fresh ideas to the table. We stay busy, and we have a great time doing it!
As a print design intern, you will be focusing on creating assets for all things retail. We create a steady stream of in-store displays, window displays, installations, invites and book design. These range from seasonal campaigns, specific product pushes, to unique celebrations and everything in between.

We want to hear from you if you are
• A Graphic Design Major or Environmental Design Major
• Familiar with Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong with typography and layout skills
• Familiar with print production or a quick learner
• Experience designing 3D mock-ups and renderings or a quick learner
• Illustration/drafting and construction skills are a plus

Hours and location
• Fulltime (40 hrs / 5 days a week)
• At our Santa Monica HQ in sunny SoCal

Company Profile
The idea for TOMS was inspired by Blake’s trip to Argentina in 2006 when he acted on a simple idea that has had a significant impact. Many children in the areas surrounding Buenos Aires had cuts and infections in their feet, had to walk miles for food or to school, and had limited access to shoes. Blake set out to reinvent the traditional Argentine
alpargata for the U.S. market, and made a commitment to match every pair of TOMS purchased with a pair of new shoes to a child in need. There are no complicated formulas — it’s simple. If you buy a pair of TOMS, the company will give a pair on your behalf. “I was so overwhelmed by the spirit of the South American people, especially those who had so little,” Mycoskie said. “And I was instantly struck with the desire — the responsibility — to do more.”

Submission Email (or URL)
<a href="http://www.toms.com/intern"target="_blank">http://www.toms.com/intern

Please include
One-page cover letter:
• Why you are interested in working at TOMS Shoes and how you heard about TOMS
• What you are currently doing to further the TOMS One for One movement
• Lastly, why you are a great candidate for the Creative Department and TOMS internship program

Resume and PDF of portfolio samples:
• Samples of web or print with strong typography and layout
• Samples of work incorporating 3D space and retail/fashion, such as signage, invitations, in-store displays
• List any professional experience
