EMERGE: The Next Generation of Design Leaders

EMERGE exhibited student graphic design work from all of the LA design programs. Photograph by Thomas Salonga.

On Saturday February 7th, 2009, AIGA Los Angeles held the EMERGE Student Design Exhibition reception on the campus of Loyola Marymount University. There were more than 300 in attendance as AIGA/LA announced the thirteen $1,000.00 scholarships for the student leaders. This level of support is unprecedented and is an important part of the work that our chapter is doing to support the next generation of design leaders. In past years, the recipients have gone on to do very well in their field and the Chapter is proud to support them.

The success of this event, and the quality of the work that is in the show, is a testament to the talented and dedicated faculty who assembled and presented this show.
