Gehry Partners architect and upcoming AIGA/LA panelist Craig Webb (shown above, with Gehry) plays a prominent role in the Sydney Pollack documentary "Sketches of Frank Gehry," which hit LA theaters last Friday, May 19. For 17 years Webb has worked alongside Gehry on such pivotal projects as Walt Disney Concert Hall. His leadership in recent projects like the Richard B. Fisher Performing Arts Center at Bard College and the Jay Pritzker Pavilion at Millennium Park in Chicago have proved him to be a valuable member of Gehry's team. The film shows Webb collaborating on several projects with Gehry.

You'll be able to hear more about the Gehry-Webb relationship by joining Craig Webb, Melinda Taylor and Alexander Mickelthwate, in discussion with KCRW's Frances Anderton, as they put together the pieces of Walt Disney Concert Hall, and explain how Gehry's vision fits into a bigger plan for downtown. The Grand Avenue Project, only recently unveiled to the public, will be explained in depth by Webb.

A Perfect Arrangement: Walt Disney Concert Hall and the New Plans for Grand Avenue will be Tuesday, May 30 at Disney Hall, downtown. Buy your tickets today!
