Event Description
“Special Effects” is a special presentation brought to you by the creators of The Standard Volume 5 on Special Effects and designers for the 826 Organization. A unique educational series, The Standard provides tips, techniques and advice on optimizing all that print has to offer. Hear how creative use of special effects can make a printed piece dimensional, tactile, intriguing and even interactive. And, learn more about 826 LA, the Los Angeles chapter of the nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting students with their writing skills, and to helping teachers inspire their students to write.

This event is hosted by Sappi Fine Paper, publisher of The Standard and maker of America’s foremost coated printing papers, including McCoy, Opus, Somerset and Flo. The evening benefits the 826 LA. All attendees will receive a complimentary copy of the latest Standard Volume 5 and a limited-edition poster designed by Jack Unruh.
