Join us for the 2007-08 Studio Tour series and be inspired by the amazing work being created here in our own backyard! Mix and mingle with like-minded designers while enjoying light snacks and beverages. Learn about the inner workings of established studios, see where their magic happens, and acquire the answers to your burning questions.

This year we are putting together a roster of studios that will span the spectrum of design concentration in LA. In our exploration of studios ranging from emerging new media firms to established multi-disciplinary agencies, you'll find a tour that interests you most.

Second up in our inspiring 07/08 series is the Westside creative team Subgiant.

Subgiant is a 2d / 3d / animation and live action production company in Venice CA.

Subgiant is different – they are a 2d/3d animation and live action production company combined with an advertising agency, which allows them to handle everything from concept to execution on projects. They create animation, live action and visual effects to electrify the consumers eye continuously; but don’t lose site of client needs. From concept to delivery, Subgiant works hand in hand with the client to consistently deliver the right combination of innovation and design.

Their work consists of four unique styles from different individual creative talent, so clients are able to choose the style that meets their needs on any project. Their vibe is clean and simple – they let the work speak for itself. Inspired by their love for art, fashion, culture and music, they are also heavily influenced by the surf/skate/snow industry. They are currently working with companies like Quiksilver, RVCA and Vans, introducing them into a whole new world of animation and advertising.

Mingling starts at 7, with a presentation by Subgiant starting around 7:30 followed by Q&A and a tour of the studio.

There are 50 spots available for this tour. Call 818.558.3968 to reserve your seat. Tickets are $20 and you can use your credit card to pay. AIGA members will receive preferential seating. You can only register by phone. No registrations on site.
