Join AIGA LA member George Simian, and his Indonesian wife Beata, on a photopraphy workshop in Bali, Indonesia, from June 25 to July 8, 2007. This workshop will assist photographers in exploring the visually and culturally rich environment of the Balinese celebrations of Galungan and Kuningan, two of the most important celebrations in the Bali/Hindu 210 day calender year. Participants will immerse themselves into the real lives of Balinese villagers: working, living, preparing offerings, and performing the joyous religious ceremonies. After spending the first week in Ubud, Bali’s cultural center, the second week will take you on a guided tour of Bali’s natural wonders, exploring the mountainous interior as well as the beaches and tropical waters.
