Sussman/Prejza & Company is one of the world's foremost design firms producing environmental and urban graphics. Ranging from the groundbreakingdesign of the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games to seminal wayfinding programsfor Walt Disney World and the City of Philadelphia to graphic identity for the City of Santa Monica and its Big Blue Bus transit system,Sussman/Prejza's work has been applauded and awarded internationally.
Sussman/Prejza's goal has been to push the boundaries of environmental graphic design to meld more cohesively with architecture, urban planning, and landscaping. Based upon research and graphics investigation, local stories are woven into the visual product, creating a sense of place andmemories that visitors retain and remember.
A select list of recently completed projects include: the corporate campus of both SGI and Amgen; The Gateway, an urban revitalization district in Salt Lake City; identity and wayfinding graphics for the development of Queensway Bay and the City of Long Beach; urban graphics for Universal CityWalk's Florida and Los Angeles locations; and the interiors for the recently completed Marion McCaw Hall, home of the Seattle Opera and the Pacific Northwest Ballet. Current projects include the Museum of the African Diaspora (MoAD) in San Francisco, the U.S. Embassy Berlin, the Cincinnati Convention Center, and the Arco Plaza Renewal in downtown Los Angeles.

Wonderful event.
We got an in-depth look at some of the brilliant work Sussman/Prejza does, as well as insight into how they procure and pitch projects. Everyone we met was exceptionally friendly and terrifically driven by their work.
As an added bonus a plethora of assorted empanadas were served. Very choice!
I couldn't agree more.
It was a great night. Deborah Sussman, thank you! You were a gracious and informative host.
The S/P team, and especially myself want to thank our guests for attending and being so responsive. We'd be happy to host another event (2006?) and try out a new format. It will be a great reason to straighten up the place and get our act together.
